Here are some home remedies for Toe Nail fungus -

1. Vinegar is very effective in the cure of toenail fungus. Being acidic in nature if you will bring the vinegar in contact with your toenail, the fungus will die. Put vinegar on your entire toenail and make sure that it gets below the toenail also so that it can reach the fungus. You will have to do this continuously for some time to get complete relief from the toenail fungus. But of you will miss this treatment even for single day then the fungus will go back in your new toenail and again it will take lot of time to get healed completely.

There is one more effective way of applying vinegar over the troublesome toenail fungus. Take hot water in one bucket and add apple cider vinegar solution into it. Take care to take the hot water and the vinegar in equal proportions. Put your affected toenails in this water and sit for 30 minutes so that the vinegar gets proper time to kill the fungus. Dry your legs completely after the time is over or else the fungus will spread more due to wet legs.

2. Apply Vicks Vapor rub on the infected toenail everyday is also effective cure for toe nail fungus. Make sure that you apply the Vicks Vapor rub inside the toenail also where the fungus is growing. There is only one temporary disadvantage involved in this home remedy and that it will make your toenail dark. Don't stop and continue with this method for few days.

3. Purchase hydrogen peroxide, which is easily available in pharmacy or grocery shop. Soak your toenail in the solution of hydrogen peroxide for about thirty minutes two to three times in a day. One application of hydrogen peroxide should be in the nighttime before you sleep. Repeat this method till the time fungus is not dead.

4. Toenail fungus can also be cured with the help of tea tree oil. Take tea tree oil in one bowl and soak your toenail in this solution for some time. The anti-fungal property of tea tree oil will kill the fungus. Do this method two times in a day. Doing it before you sleep time will give fast relief from the fungus.

Among all these methods only the method that uses Vicks Vapor rub ahs disadvantages. Hence make sure you try other methods first before trying this method. You will have to take care of your ingrown toenail by trimming your nails and filing your nails properly without fail every month. You can keep your nails clean and make practice to wear clean and perfect fitting shoes. Also applying tea tree oil on your nails is a good way to provide nutrition to your nails.

Hence with proper nail care and with the help of above home remedies you can easily cure the toe nail fungus problem. But once your problem is cured, you will need to take extra efforts to keep your toenails away from fungus.
