French Manicure

Various fashion experts have difference of opinion when it comes to French manicure. The fingernails and toenails get off white or ivory nail polish on to the tips while sheer polish or pastel pink coat at the rest of the nails.

In the last century French manicure got worldwide famous, as many models and fashion personnel started making use of it. Today also it is a high trend in the fashion domain and it is here to stay for many more decades. Below the steps of French manicure are explained so that you can try it at home.

Steps of French Manicure –

  1. In order to make the cuticles of your fingernails smoother, immerse your fingernails in lukewarm water.
  2. With the help of nail polish remover, remove the old nail polish form your nails. With the help of cuticle remover and the orangewood stick push the cuticles backwards.
  3. Trim your nails and clean them.
  4. Apply hand cream on your nails and wipe it after three to four minutes. With the help of tissue paper remove the cream from your nails.
  5. Apply a clear base coat on your nails. Hide you nails lower portion with the help of tip guide and color the curvature of your nail tip in white. Allow it to dry for some minutes. Make sure that the white coat that you will give on the tip of your nails ahs to be thin.
  6. Remove the tip guide once the white color gets dried up.
  7. With the help of beige polish paint the whole length of your nails twice.
  8. Give one last and final topcoat, which will protect the other layers of color below it.
  9. If while giving the paint something goes wrong then with the help of orangewood stick or nail paint remover correct it.
  10. After this allow the nail color to dry and don’t make any hurry to do some other work using your fingers for about 25 minutes.

To make sure that the French manicure look neat on your nails, you will need to put an added coating of the top coat of nail polish every night. There are beauty kits available in the market that are designed mainly for French manicure that you can use while trying this manicure at home. This kit will be very useful for you if you like to do manicure at home. But you can always have a French manicure done in a beauty spa or saloon.
