In order to maintain healthy eyes eye exercises are must along with following healthy diet. You might be thinking what kind of eye exercise you should do in order to have good eye health. You might have heard about various exercises for other body parts but there are rare chances that you might have heard about eye exercise. Exercise for strengthening eyes is simple and can be done without spending much time. Poor vision, eye diseases and neck and back problems are common results of working for long hours on computers, reading for long time and watching television. Increased stress levels are also responsible for causing several eye related issues.
Exercise for strengthening eyes -
Eye exercises will not require you to spend more than five to ten minutes. If you work on computers then make sure that after every hour, you keep about two to three minutes for doing eye exercise. Make sure that you do the following things in order to ensure that your eyes remain in good health.
- Breathing is a good way of bringing more oxygen into your eyes. Breathing regularly will also reduce the stress on eyes.
- Blink your eyes often, as this will keep your eyes moist and thus moisturize your eyes. Dry eyes can cause various eye problems.
- In order to reduce the tension, make sure that you smile as often as you can. Have fun while doing your eye exercises.
- Be committed towards your exercising. There is no use if you will do your eye exercises occasionally. Make sure that once you start doing the eye exercises you do them regularly.
Exercise for strengthening eyes -
- Breathing in a right way is very important for being healthy. If you will breath properly this will also improve your vision. When you inhale the air, the air goes done to the bottom of the lungs and the air fills the lungs. This pushes the stomach outwards and as you slowly exhale the air, the air gets up slowly form the bottom of your lungs and it pushes your stomach in. This exercise will give soothing feeling to your eyes.
- In order to improve your vision, you will need to learn to focus your mind well first. You can also reduce the stress on your eyes by placing your palms over your eyes. Sit on a flat table and lean forward. Keep your elbows on the table and close your eyes. Place your right palm on right eye and left palm on your left eye. Do this in such a way that your fingers remain on your forehead.
The hollow of your palm will be over the eyes without actually touching the eyes. Make sure that the heel of the hand is resting on the cheekbones and palms are on the eyes, now move the fingers of one hand over the other hand. The neck should be in a comfortable position while you do this. The palming exercise also relaxes your mind along with reducing the stress on the eyes.
