Eyes are believed to be the most precious body part, as it is thanks to the eyes only that we can see things around us and have a knowledge of everything that is happening in this world. You should give prime importance to eye health care. For being on a safer side, you should visit an ophthalmologist at regular intervals. Like how one in a year you go for dental checkups, you should also go for eye check ups. Many people do various things like exercising, dieting in order to keep their body fit. They maintain their weight and think that they are physically fit. But they are not aware about their eye health care. After the age of thirty make sure that you go for eye checkups even though you have no problems related with seeing objects. If you will take this much care on your part, several eye problems can get treated in the initial stage itself.

Hence for better eye health care, prevent the eye conditions form occurring rather than treating them once they are at the peak stage and have almost affected your entire vision. In order to have healthy eyes and eyesight, you can take care of the food that you eat. Make sure that your food has enough of vitamin A, which is very good for the eye health care. Vitamins and minerals will help your eyes to remain healthy no matter how much you grow in age. As you do exercises to keep your body fit and healthy, you should do some eye exercises to keep your eyes healthy too. This will reduce the speed of degeneration of the eyes with age.

To treat the muscular degeneration of the eyes, you will have to undergo proper treatment under the guidance of your eye doctor. Hence for proper eye health care eat good food and do regular eye exercises. Doing these both things will ensure that you will be far away from injury, disease or other eye related troubles. When every year you will go for an eye checkup, get yourself checked for glaucoma also. Glaucoma is not a serious condition of the eyes but it can damage the eyes if you neglect it for long time. If you get detected with this condition in early stage, the treatment will also be effective and short.

There are several eye drops available at the chemist's shop and they are even available without prescription. But buying them is not good, as they might harm your eyes if you will put these drops in your eyes without the advise of your doctor. Make sure that you sit in right posture while reading and writing, as this will reduce the pressure on the eyes. For your eye health care, you are not supposed to do many things but the above-mentioned care you must take.
