Eye Exercises

To improve your eyesight, you will need to take care of your eye. You can do this in several ways. By protecting your eyes from harsh sunrays, by protecting eyes from dust, pollen and wind. You can also start eating good food that will be rich in vitamins and minerals. You will avoid all sort of bad habits like smoking, drinking alcohol. You will lead stress free life and take 8-hour sleep. Along with all these efforts, if you will also do some eye exercises then you will complete the overall things needed for taking good eye health care.

In eye exercises the basic technique is to relax the eye muscles as mush as possible. Here some quick and easy eye exercises have been explained. You can perform these exercises and improve your eyesight without undergoing any surgery for that.

Eye Exercises -

  • Palming – Place your right palm on your right eye and left palm on your left eye. Do it in such a way that the left fingers are on top of your right fingers. There is no need to put any pressure on the eyes. Just hold your palm over your eyes in such a way that little light reaches your eyes. This eye exercise will relax your eye muscles. You can do this eye exercise any time of the day and any number of times a day. If you are working on computer and just reading a book and feel that your eyes are strained and tired, then do this exercise. It will take off all the stress and tiredness from your eyes.
  •  Focusing – Keep two stones at about 30 cm apart from each other. Now from a distance focus only on one stone at a time. If your eye sight is proper then you will not find focusing on one stone difficult. But for people with myopia, it is difficult to focus on one stone, as they will see both the stones at once. You can do this same exercise with any tow similar objects. This will help in improving your eyesight by learning to focus. But do this as fun, blink in between and take deep breath.
  • If you have eyeglasses then take them off for some time and let your eyes be free of spectacles for some time. This will help the eyes to cope without glasses and there are chances of eyesight getting improved.
  • Write the letter E on the paper and hold it some distance apart and try focusing on the upper bar of E, then lower bar and then the central bar and so on. Now increase the distance between you and the paper and do the same exercise. Continue doing till the time you find it difficult to see the letter E on the paper.
  • To help the peripheral vision of the eyes, stretch your hands and wriggle your fingers and observe their movement carefully.
  • This one is really exciting eye exercise. You have to draw a circle in your mind with the help of your nose. Now bond the circle into an oval and draw the figure 8 inside it. Do this with the help of nose. All this you to do in your mind. While doing this try to follow the movements of your nose. This will help to improve your eyesight and will also give you concentration.
