In case of viral pink eye only antibiotics will not give complete relief from the eye condition and the virus should be removed completely from the immune system. Everybody has conjunctivitis one time or another in his or her life. Hence there is nothing to worry but make sure that you wear sunglasses in order prevent others from seeing your affected eye.
The pink eye condition is very common and it will get cured on its own within 7 to 10 days. In case your child has got pink eye explain them about what it is and what precaution they should take in order to prevent the infection to happen in the other eye.
