Temporal Arteritis is also known as Giant cell Arteritis (GCA). In this condition the lining of the arteries that is the blood vessel that supplies oxygen rich blood from your heart to other part of the body gets inflamed. This condition generally affects the arteries in the head and to be specific in the temples. That is the main reason why giant cell Arteritis is also known as temporal Arteritis. The common symptoms of this condition are headaches, blurred vision, double vision and jaw pain. The serious complications of temporal Arteritis are stroke and blindness.
