No matter hat kind of skin you have, you will need to take the skin care in a different manner in summer and in winter. This is because the weather is the most important factor that can create various changes in your skin. Your skin can get damaged if you will not take your skin care according to the seasons. The skin care in winters and summers is equally important. Your carelessness could damage your skin beyond repair. Extreme cold and extreme heat are both bad for skin.
In winter skin becomes dry and get chapped at various places. This is the same case during summer too. But the way you will tackle the dryness f the skin in winters and in summers is different. You will need to change your diet as per the season too. Include several seasonal fruits and vegetables in your diet, as these food items will give your body the required nutrients to have the healthy skin and body. Thus skin care in winters and summers depends mainly on your diet.
In summer time make sure that you drink plenty of water and fresh fruit juices to keep the moisture intact in your body. Reduce the amount of meat you eat and have lots of fruits that contains water like watermelons and oranges. Salads and yogurt is also must during summer to keep your body cool. During wintertime your water consumption becomes less but still try to drink about 8 glasses of water daily. The products that you use for skin care during winters and summers will also be different.
During summer make it appoint to have bath twice in a day, this will sooth the sweating glands. When you go out of the house apply sunscreen lotion on your skin and carry either a scarf or an umbrella. After coming back home from sun, don’t drink water or have bath for some time. If you will have bath immediately after coming back home from sun, then it will make your skin dry. Your soap should not be harsh and it should contain moisturizer and other skin nourishing elements.
Skin care in winters and summers should be planned carefully. Purchase only those products that have natural ingredients. The cold cream that you use during winters should contain natural and herbal ingredients. This will be very effective in avoiding your skin from drying up. But you cannot use this cream in summers, as the drying up of skin during summer is much different from the drying up of skin in winters. In winter your skin needs much more care than summer.
In winter also make it a point to apply sunscreen lotion whenever you step out of the house. You should purchase moisturizer and foundation with sunscreen in it. This way along with the makeup you will not need to apply sunscreen lotion separately. You should apply mild cleanser while washing your face instead of soaps. Avoid using products with heavy perfumes and alcohol content. These products are not good for dry skin and sensitive skin.
