That is the reason why your doctor will advise you to keep your newborn baby away from exposure to sunlight till the time they don't become six months old.

Once your baby is more than six months old, make sure that he or she gets proper protection from sun while going out in sun. When your kids become enough big to go out of the house on their own and play in the surrounding area, you will need to take their proper Suncare to be sure that they are not getting overexposed to the sunrays. If your kids are playing some water games in a pool, you will need to reapply the sun lotions regularly. Their clothes should be light and of cotton material so that the sweat gets soaked properly. You can even ask your kids to not go out of the house when the sunrays are very harsh. You can promise them an outing in the evening if they listen to you.

Remember these points that are must for proper Suncare for your babies –

1. Babies below the age of 6 months should not be taken out when the sunrays are very harsh.
2. Applying sunscreen lotions and creams is a must.
3. Buy a good quality sun hat for your babies and ask them not to remove it when they are out in sun.
4. In the noontime make the kids sit at home, play indoor games with them.
5. Apply the sunscreen creams before 30 minutes so that the creams get time to form protective layer against the sun.
