These are the two bacteria that are the main causes of cellulitis. If you have low immunity levels or if you are a diabetic then also your chances of getting cellulitis are high. Diabetic patients can get injured in their leg and soon the bacteria mentioned above will start multiplying in their wound and thus result in causing cellulitis.
If you are sick then your body has low immunity and thus it allows the growth of such bacteria, which can cause cellulitis. For example AIDS patients can get this skin condition easily due to their very low immunity levels. Those who have healthy immune system have no chances of getting this skin condition. The bacteria will not get a chance to grow in your skin and thus you are safe from getting cellulitis. Hence the aged people have more chances of getting cellulitis, as they have low immunity. If you have cracked and peeling skin then also the bacteria causing cellulitis can enter your body.
Treatment for Cellulitis -
Oral antibiotics and topical medicines are mainly used to treat this skin condition. If the infection is severe then there will be only option of getting hospitalized hence make sure that you treat the condition before it becomes complicated. You should consult your doctor as early as possible and start with the treatment. Try to improve your immunity by eating balanced food and exercising daily. Any kind of fungal infections should be treated without any kind of delay. Make sure that your footwear is comfortable and not too tight or too lose.
Along with this try to keep your skin well moisturized and prevent any kinds of cracks from occurring in your feet. Keep your feet clean so that no kind of bacterial infection can cause any kind of skin problem in you.
