Hives is caused due to some allergic skin infection and in this condition red and pinkish patches appear on skin. These patches appear swollen and can cause great levels of discomfort. - Some people are allergic to pollen grains and these could also invite the problem of hives in them. Many times such people will get hives after visiting a park or a garden.
- In some eating nuts, egg shells and shell fish can cause hives.
- Some people get hives after they are stung by bee or any other insect. The chemicals in the stings are responsible for causing the skin allergy in this case.
- If you are under chronic stress then also your chances of getting hives are more.
- Some people who are allergic to animal dander of animals like cats and dogs then also they can develop hives.
- Some chronic disease like cancer and leukemia can also cause hives or clustered lesions.
Hives Symptoms –
- The skin will develop red and swollen elevated skin surfaces in the affected part of the body.
- Itching and inflammation of the affected skin part is also one of the main symptoms of hives.
- This kind of skin condition can result in single patch or multiple patches.
- These patches will be small in some people while very big in some. Some of the patches can also cover the entire abdomen of a child.
- The patches of hives will last not more than 24 hours. But the new hives will appear on some other part of the body.
- You should consult your doctor if the hives appear second time. There are chances of some other kind of skin allergies and hence medical treatment of hives is needed.
