There are certain side effects of taking abortion pill like diarrhea and nausea. Even if you are taking the abortion pill at home and get a miscarriage, you should visit the abortion clinic for the follow-up visit. The visit to the doctor should be after two weeks after taking the abortion pill. It is very important that the doctor gives you confirmation that the abortion has happened. Only about 2 to 3 percent of the cases are there where women have gone through surgical procedure to terminate their pregnancy completely, as they have not got the desired result from taking abortion pill.
In the surgical process the uterus will be dilated and then with the help of the suction pump the doctor will remove the residual tissue also. The surgical process will help you get an abortion done successfully. The surgical abortion process also has certain side effects and some risks involved. There may be serious loss of blood during the process for which the woman undergoing abortion will have to suffer the blood transfusions also. But this to doesn't happen in case of every woman and many women will not suffer from heavy blood loss.
