As you know that we all need energy to do our work and the energy comes form food that we eat. Hence if you take good care of what you eat and how much you eat, you can overall expect a healthy life. Food safety is also an important aspect of the food that you eat. You cannot spoil your health by eating unhealthy food or food that is not made properly hot. You have to take good care of your food so that the food will also take good care of you. There are some food safety rules that you can follow in your kitchen so as to maintain the good health of you and your family and friends.

Refrigerator is the most important thing that helps you to keep your food fresh for longer duration. You should makes sure that you put perishable food in the refrigerator within two hours, as it will help to keep the food in good condition. Many people put hot food in refrigerator but it is not good and you should allow the cooked food to come to room temperature level before putting it in fridge. You should always keep the meat, chicken and seafood in the freezer, as these things will last for longer if you will store them in freezer. When you want to eat anything that has been kept in fridge, remove it and bring it to room temperature and then make it hot in microwave and then eat it. This is the simplest food safety and it will not take much of your time if you plan your food wisely.

You should clean the raw meat nicely so as to remove the harmful bacteria present in the meat. After cleaning you should keep the raw meat in different vessel and clean all the vessels that you used to clean the meat properly. If you will not wash the vessels containing raw meat and use the same vessels for cooking the meat then the bacteria will again get added into the food prepared by you. Make sure that after cutting the meat with the knives, you should wash the knives before cutting anything else with them. Spending some time in keeping the kitchen vessels and kitchen platform clean can ensure food safety.

After you finish you cooking, clean the kitchen platform with soapy water and then only start other work. Also before beginning the cooking for the day, make sure that you clean the kitchen platform. Vegetables and fruits should also be washed properly before eating them. Many people make the mistake of cutting the vegetables first and then clean it but the actual way if to clean the vegetables first and then after removing the water from them to cut them. In refrigerator make sure that you don’t mix the raw food and the cooked food. Whenever you touch the vessels containing cooked food, clean your hands so as to avoid spreading the bacteria from your hands to the food.
