1. In case if the person is suffering from severe hysteria then the symptoms of this condition may include painful cries, loss of consciousness, super fast rate of heartbeat, swollen neck, locomotors muscle contraction, violent movement and seizures.

2. Heaviness in the limbs, chronic cramps, constant sighing, breathless feeling, chest conjunction, palpitations, headache, clenched teeth, tense muscles, feeling like something is choked in the throat and swelling of the neck are also some common symptoms of hysteria.

3. The person suffering from hysteria will also crave for love and sympathy and will be emotionally unstable. The hysteria symptoms can last for few days or weeks. The muscles will not be relaxed even if the person is sleeping. The attacks of hysteria can come with sever symptoms also.

The causes of Hysteria -

Some home remedies for Hysteria -

• Take about one jug of water in one vessel and add about three kilograms of black berry fruit and handful of salt in the same vessel. Keep this vessel in the sun for about one week. After one week start taking about 300 gm of these fruit mixture every day early morning on an empty stomach. Also drink about one cup of water from this mixture. You have to continue this treatment for more than 15 days without fail.
• Take about one tablespoon of honey daily, as honey is believed to be the best remedy for treating hysteria.

• Prepare a juice form fresh lettuce leaves and add teaspoon of Indian gooseberry juice in it. Take this for about one month every day early in the morning.

• Apply the fresh paste of bottle gourd on the head of the person suffering from hysteria.

• During the hysteria attacks, make the patient smell asafetida. Asafoetida can be taken orally also or you can mix it in water and give it to the affected person.

• Prepare powder from the roots of rauwolfia and mix it in one cup milk and have it everyday in the morning and in the evening. Follow this remedy for few months, as it gives complete cure from hysteria.
