There are number of women who are suffering from infertility and in United States itself there are about three million women who are suffering from infertility. There is an increase in the sterility causing diseases in fast few decades and that is what is believed to be the main reason behind female infertility. The number of women using IUDs is more and that is also responsible for increasing various pelvic inflammatory diseases in women that lead to infertility. Infertility can be caused due to several reasons and thanks to modern technology many of the hurdles that make it difficult for woman to conceive can be cured with normal treatment.
More than 80 thousand of women who were wearing an IUD are finding it difficult to conceive due to the infections the IUDs have caused them. Many career-minded women avoid pregnancy till they reach thirty and that also affects their chances of conceiving. Many women who are not sure about their spouse also avoid getting pregnant till they see a long-term relationship with their man. Postponing the pregnancy to late thirties makes it impossible for the women to conceive. And that creates several infertility related problems.
Other cause of female infertility are abnormalities of the fallopian tubes, some infections of the uterus or the fallopian tubes due to endometriosis, swelling of the ovary and no production of eggs. In about 10% to 15% cases the infertility is caused due to problems of ovulation. If the woman is suffering from some chronic disease like thyroid disease, liver disease or uncontrolled diabetes then also she may have infertility related problems. The chronic diseases affects the ovulation process and thus become responsible for causing infertility in women.
Infertility can be also caused due to the problems of cervix or the cervical mucus but chances of such kind of infertility are very low. Strenuous exercises, exposure to radiation and chemicals can also cause temporary infertility in women even though they get their menstruation properly. In many women if the endometrical tissue, which forms the inner lining of the uterus, is located outside the uterus then this condition is called as endometriosis. When the woman suffering from endometriosis gets her periods she experiencing unbearable pain and this might cause scarring of the ovaries and thus it blocks the way of egg and stops it from reaching into the fallopian tube. Hence this condition also increases the chances of infertility in women.
The symptoms of female infertility are hard to find out, as it is not a physical condition. If a woman is having infertility problems then there is definitely something wrong with her internal body mechanism and that too mainly in her reproductive system. In most cases the reasons for infertility are associated with hormonal imbalance. It is impossible for any woman to know if the hormones are in balance within her or if the reproductive system is without any problem. If the woman fails to conceive even after one year of trying to conceive then she should first visit her doctor and get her medical examination done.
