Morning Sickness

In the early days of your pregnancy you will feel various kinds of symptoms like vomiting, nauseous feeling, headaches, rising body temperature, mood swings, giddiness, and many more. All these things are termed as morning sickness simply for the reason that these symptoms will be in their prime during morning time. Most of the pregnant ladies have experienced morning sickness mainly in the first trimester of their pregnancy. Some women are lucky as they don’t experience the morning sickness or experience it in mild form. Morning sickness is also considered as early pregnancy symptoms. This condition gets vanished as the second trimester begins but here is some help so that you can cope with morning sickness.

During pregnancy your body requires iron and calcium in extra doses so as to get the energy to bear the child properly in your womb for the coming nine months. Prenatal vitamins are a good source to get iron and calcium from. Your doctor will prescribe these supplements to you and that you have to take without fail. These supplements can cause nausea but you can try taking the supplements with something else rather than water like milk. Early morning if you are feeling very hungry and finding energy less till the time you don’t eat anything then keep dry toast or some other healthy snacks handy. Keep these snacks at your bedside and eat them whenever you feel hungry. Avoid drinking water after eating the snacks, as this will keep you protected from getting morning sickness.

Before going to bed make sure that your dinner is light and avoid taking sweets at night. If you eat sweets before bedtime then it will drop your blood sugar level and thus make you nauseous. Eating a bowl of yogurt is a better option, as it will remove your tiredness. You can Utah some ginger in your morning tea, as it will stop the morning sickness. Do your work slowly without any kind of hurry, as it will also protect you from the morning sickness. To avoid the nauseous feeling you can smell lavender oil or chew peppermint. If you don’t have both these things at home then smelling your bath soap will also give you relief from the nauseous feeling.

Many women feel nauseous with the smell of different foods. There are certain foods whose smell can trigger the morning sickness. Each women have different such food triggers. You can identify your own food triggers and avoid the smell of such foods. There are several morning sickness remedies that will help you to avoid getting morning sickness. If you know exactly what time your morning sickness symptoms starts showing then take your prenatal vitamins before about 2 hours of this time. Thus even if you vomit the prenatal vitamins will not get eliminated from your body and thus you will feel energetic.

One more effective remedy is to sleep with your legs elevated. This will relax your stomach and thus keep it well oxidized. This is so because as your legs are elevated the blood will flow in your torso and thus oxidize your stomach.
