Physical Changes In The Body

During the entire nine months of the pregnancy the pregnant lady goes through several physical changes in the body. If you are pregnant then your body will experience several internal as well as external changes. The hormones inside your body also experience several ups and downs and that is what is responsible for causing the physical changes in the body. Any pregnancy generally lasts for 40 weeks that is near about nine months. This nine-month period is divided into three trimesters. In each trimester you will see different changes that will happen in your appearance.

As you know during pregnancy your stomach will grow continuously. During pregnancy your body has to carry about 20lb of baby, placenta and the water and this extra load puts extra pressure on your body organs and tissues. As most of this weight is carried in the front, it shifts the center of gravity. The changes in the center of gravity can cause severe backaches, headaches, leg pains, fatigue and neck aches. The growth of the stomach puts extra pressure on the lungs and thus you may also experience some breathing related problems.

In the first three months of the pregnancy that is the first trimester of the pregnancy you will suffer from nausea, vomiting, morning sickness, constant fatigue and mood swings. There won't be many physical changes in the body in the first trimester of your pregnancy but soon you will start noticing the physical changes. You will need to eat healthy food and increase your daily calorie intake, as your baby needs several vitamins like iron, calcium, zinc, vitamin C and vitamin D and folic acid. Hence make sure that your diet is rich source of all these nutrients.  Make sure that you keep some kind of snacks or fruits near your bedside, so that you can eat it even if you feel hungry in the night or early in the morning.

During pregnancy you will also experience several physical changes in the body mainly in the breasts and the nipples. The breasts have to prepare themselves so that they can produce milk after the birth of your child. The areolas become dark in color and the nipples also appear different. You might also suffer from leg aches and can also get affected with varicose veins and hemorrhoids. Emotional outbursts and mood swings are also normal during pregnancy. Along with excitement you may also experience fear, anxiety, worry, doubt, anticipation, happiness and several other mixed feeling. I short you will not feel the same way all throughout the day.

Many pregnant women start hating their body when it goes through several physical changes. But it is the responsibility of their partners to boost some confidence in their wives so that she doesn't feel neglected. Love your body, as it is going to give birth to a new life. This is a miracle procedure that you are going to witness and hence just cheer up and eat well, exercise and relax. Go for regular medical checkups and follow the advice of your doctor without any doubt.
