Keep the head crib in your hands, moving only your thumbs to be in front of the ears. Breathe in as your friend breathes out and out as your friend breathes in. Center yourself by breathing down into your Hara, a point two to 3 inches below your navel. Send out positive thoughts. This is called “touching the unconscious.” It creates a deeper contact with the person, harmonizing your energies. You may also use verbal proposition at this point.
“Allow each breath to nourish and relax your body. Let those feelings build until they are all you distinguish. Each breath makes your body more relaxed, yet vital and your mind more nonviolent, yet clear. Each breath charges your sense organs, bringing joy into your life.”
Again, keep in mind that the more present and relaxed you are, the easier it is for your friend to relax. If at any point you feel that you have lost your focus or contact, return to this breathing pattern.
BENEFIT: Balances the electromagnetic energies in the right and left side of the brain. This reduces stress as it increases the brain’s ability to deal with inward bound information, bringing both the logical and instinctive responses together.
