Cauliflower with potatoes

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Moderately + Vata, -Pitta, -Kapha
- 1 small cauliflower
- 2 medium potatoes
- 3 tablespoons sunflower oil
- ½ teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/8 teaspoon hing
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1½ tablespoons coriander powder
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon curry powder
- 1 tablespoon brown rice syrup or barley malt syrup
Wash the cauliflower and potatoes well; drain and cut into small (1/2 inch) pieces. Heat oil in a medium skillet. Add mustard seeds. When they pop, add turmeric and potatoes; stir well. Cover and cook 7 to 8 minutes over medium heat. Then add cauliflower and salt. Cover and cook an additional 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients; mix well and serve. |
