Many people in this world suffer from depression and antidepressants are the treatment medicines used by doctors to cure such people suffering from depression. Headaches, sexual difficulties, nausea, abdominal pains, diarrhea, insomnia, rashes, heart palpitations, weight gain, nightmares, joint pains and muscle pains are some of the common side effects of antidepressants belonging to SSRIs category. SSRIs also reduce the speed of blood clotting and thus can cause stomach and uterine bleeding.

The common side effects are giddiness, mouth dryness, nausea, headaches, constipation, confusion, nervousness, blurred vision, drowsiness and weariness. There can be several sexual difficulties that the person taking these antidepressants may have to deal with like painful erections that are not associated with sexual arousal.
