The gases present in the intestine come out under pressure and make some sound and also leave a bad smell. This condition is called, as flatulence and it can be embarrassing to have this condition when you are in a social gathering. This condition occurs due to some digestion problems. It is not so serious condition and can happen to anyone any number of times. There are simple home remedies for flatulence.
Home remedies for Flatulence:
- First and foremost, you can avoid getting this condition by taking simple care of not eating food too fast and without chewing properly. This way the food will get digested fast and you will not have gases problem.
- Put some ginger slices in lemon juice and chew these slices after every meal. Ginger will help in fast digestion of the food and thus will cure the flatulence.
- Take one cup of warm water and add half teaspoon of ginger powder and some salt. Drink this if you are troubled with gases, as this drink will give instant relief from the gases.
- Peppermint is also effective in treating flatulence problem.
- Add some brandy in one cup of warm water and drink this before going to bed.
- Avoid drinking water in between the meals. You should drink water after 15 minutes of having meals.
- Caraway tea, spearmint tea, peppermint tea and anise tea all are very effective in treating flatulence.
- Make one healing mixture by adding one teaspoon of pepper, one teaspoon of cardamom seeds and one teaspoon of dry ginger and put this mixture in one glass of water and drink it after one hour of having your meal. This is one of the very effective home remedies for flatulence.
- Take one teaspoon of honey and add one drop of dill oil into it and have it after finishing your meals.
- Also avoid cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, beans, cheese, bread and carbonated drinks if you get flatulence more than often.
- Use cardamom seeds while cooking food. You can chew these seeds as it is or add them into tea. This will make the digestion process smooth and fast.
- To have fast digestion of food, add two cloves while preparing rice.
- One bowl of yogurt should be had on a daily basis.
- Coriander seeds are also effective in treating the hiccups, bloating and flatulence problem.
- Drink two teaspoon of apple cider vinegar before going to bed.
- Rubbing one garlic clove over the belly button will give fast relief from flatulence.
- Sprinkle some rosemary over the cooked food before eating it.
- Turmeric is also very effective in the treatment of flatulence. Make use of turmeric powder while cooking food.
- Drink fruit juices that are rich source of vitamin C but not in excess.
- Eat light food and make it a habit to eat your night food two hours before your sleeping time. one of the very effective home remedies for flatulence.
- Exercising in any form is also very effective in keeping the body active. This will also help in digesting the food fast and you will not feel bloated.
