Yellow discoloration of sclera of eyes and skin is termed as jaundice. It occurs due to increased level of bilirubin secretion in the body. It is the most commonly seen liver disorder. This increased amount of bilirubin occurs due to blockage of bilirubin flow in intestines thus the bilirubin enters the blood stream. Another factor that leads to this ailment is the loss of functioning of liver cells. Bile is a fundamental digestive juice that is necessary for proper digestion. If the bile is unable to get released in the intestines, thus causes decomposition process forming toxins and gases in the body.
