Home remedies for leucorrhea

Leucorrhea or any type of vaginal discharge is probably not a disease in itself. It is the side-effect of other diseased situations. Discharge from vagina is a common sign of yeast infection that can have different features ranging from odorless to foul smelling and simply unnoticeable. Luckily there are many ways that can be used to deal with vaginal discharge or leucorrhea depending upon the existing symptoms of a patient. Some of the natural home remedies that can be employed are mentioned as under:

  • Garlic has proven to be quite effective as a natural way of getting rid of leucorrhea and the associated discharge. In fact, it has been known to be used for many decades for this purpose. Garlic has an anti-viral and anti-bacterial property which helps in getting rid of these harmful bacteria. Garlic capsules can also be taken by those who cannot consume garlic cloves directly.
  •  Yogurt is another food known to be quite effective as it contains good bacteria or “probiotic” which helps in eliminating bad bacteria. Including yogurt in daily diet can help a person get rid of this problem. One can also utilize a tampon immersed in yogurt too because it has given excellent results. The energetic cultures in yogurt can relieve vaginal discharge by refurbishing natural flora in the vagina.
  • To stop the foul smell, you can also make a douche made of water mixed with one teaspoon of extracts of grape seed.
