 The growth of your baby in the pregnancy week 4 is very minute. The baby will be about 0.5 mm to 1 mm long. But from the fourth week onwards the baby will grow very rapidly. Your body will try to implant your baby properly in the uterus so that the baby remains safe and well protected inside your womb. Your uterus will act like a home for your baby in the nine months of pregnancy. In this week also the amniotic cavity and placenta will be in the forming stage. After this week there will be various changes in your baby and in you also on a weekly basis. With you in 4th week of pregnancy, almost one month of pregnancy is over and you might just wonder how soon the days are going.
The placenta that protects you baby is made up f vascular networks and blood from your body. These vascular networks and the blood will supply oxygen and nutrients to your baby. Also the cell growth will be continuing in this week also, these cells only will form the organs and other body parts for your baby. Fourth week of pregnancy is also considered as the embryonic period. As you know this is the crucial time, as the baby should get implanted properly in the uterus.
