It is a plank tonic blue-green algae found in warm water alkaline volcanic lakes. Spirulina is single celled and is about 0.5 millimeters in length. Spirulina Research and Clinical Studies
A number of studies show Spirulina or its extracts can prevent or inhibit cancers in humans and animals.
