Prevention and cure of skin boils without any medicines or supplements
Boils, also known as furuncles, is a type of skin infection featured by pus and dead skin. It can be sometimes painful and unappealing to look at. Boil can go away by itself in few weeks, but to get free of it early, there are many home remedies available.
Cornmeal – Cornmeal was used in the ancient civilizations as an effective remedy to cure skin boils. For using it, boil ½ cup water in a pan and add some cornmeal to it. It should become like a paste. Apply this paste on the infected areas and cover it with cloth. Leave it for 10-15 minutes. Repeat the process every 2 to 3 hours until the infection is not treated.
Onion – Onion can also prove to be a good remedy for curing boils. It has antiseptic characteristics that can help in drawing out blood from the infected areas. It makes the skin so hot that it can cause the boils to burst. Just chop few slices of onion and place them on the parts affected by boil. Wrap it with a piece of clean cloth and leave it for a few hours.
Milk – Take 1 cup milk and add 3 tsp of salt to it. Salt should get properly dissolved in the milk. Heat the milk on a low flame for 10 minutes. Add some flour so that the mixture gets thick. Apply this mixture on the infection after every 30 minutes or 1 hour.
Bacon – Bacon is rich in salt and fat content, which makes it effective to treat boils. Roll a piece of bacon in salt. Cover it with a cloth and place it on the contaminated area. It will help in draining the boils. Repeat the procedure regularly.
Nutmeg – This remedy need not be applied on the skin, but followed as a drink. Add 1 tsp nutmeg in a cup of warm water and stir it well. Drink the mixture. Repeat the process twice a day. It will help in invigorating the blood circulation and fight against bacteria that cause illness.
No doubt, above mentioned remedies are very effective and have been used for centuries for treating various skin infections. However, prevention is the best treatment for skin boils. So, here are few tips that can be followed to prevent them:
Eat healthy diet consisting of clean and nutritious food stuffs. Infections are usually caused when the immune system of an individual is weak.
Keep the skin clean and dust free. One can make use of antibacterial soaps while bathing.
Since bacteria are contagious in nature, they can transfer from one individual to another through some kind of contact with infected person. So, try to keep yourself away from diseased person.
Try to drink maximum amount of water.
Do not consume much amount of alcohol.
Make an exercising plan and follow it regularly.
Such preventive steps will boost the immune system of an individual and help in fighting against germs that cause boils.
