A Natural approach to treat stretch marks within 15 days
The problem of stretch marks (also known as striae distensae) can occur in females as well as males, generally on thighs, abdomen, breasts, hips, lower back, and upper arms. It can occur in those areas where fats are stored.
Nearly 80 percent of women develop these marks when they are pregnant. Genetics also play an important part in developing stretch marks; if one’s mother has marks, he/she will probably have. Other contributing factors to such scratches are poor diet, skin type, sudden change in environment and stress.
How to lighten these stretch marks?
An individual may have tried many creams, lotions or medicines before. These things may or may not do any good to these marks. So, follow an approach that will repair multiple layers of the skin from both inside & outside.
Repairing the skin from inside
Water – Drink 8 to 10 goblets of water daily so that all body tissues are hydrated in a natural way. It keeps the skin elastic and soft and assists in keeping the production of collagen at normal levels. It works as an inner moisturizer. For each cup of tea, soda or coffee that one drinks, he/she should have an additional cup of water.
Nutrition – Try to eat foods that are high in useful fatty acids, vitamins A, D, C, E, K, silica and zinc. They will nurture the body from inside and help in replenishing the skin. Include eggs, citrus fruits, almonds, tomatoes, pumpkin seeds, green cabbage, spinach, carrots, broccoli, turnip and low fat dairy in the regular diet.
Tissue salts – Salts like Natrium Muriaticum, Calcium Phosphate and Calcium Fluoride help in restoring the elasticity and tone of muscles, skin and connective tissues. They help in maintaining the water balance of the body.
Exercise – stretch marks appear bad on loose skin than on firm & toned flesh. So, try to keep the skin toned by performing daily exercises.
Removing stretch marks from outside
Exfoliation – Dry brushing or exfoliation eradicates dead skin to uncover fresh and soft skin. Few marks are not very easy to reach. For those areas, use an exfoliater – homemade or bought from market. To prepare it at home, add any of the ingredients like oatmeal, sea salt, ground coffee, baking soda to a few drops of olive oil and massage it on the marks for 15 minutes. After that, take a bath.
Massage – massage the skin to improve circulation of blood in the body. Use natural products for massaging like rose hip oil, lanolin oil, castor oil, emu oil, etc.
No creams or lotions available in the market can remove or prevent stretch marks. If one wants to eradicate them completely, follow the above mentioned approach that will not only remove the existing marks, but also prevent further skin problems. When following this regime, do not be impatient as it is not an overnight job and takes some time to solve the problem. Follow the remedies daily and see the results within 2 to 3 weeks.
