4 most effective natural home remedies to cure itching
Itching is exemplified by tingling sensation and irritation on the surface of the skin. It seems like something is moving on the body. It can lead to an uncomfortable situation for an individual sometimes, producing an urge to scrape the skin strongly. In medical terms, itching is referred to as pruritus. Sometimes, it is accompanied with other abnormalities such as lesions, blisters and bumps. Wearing tight clothes, using harsh soaps, anxiety and stress, hot & humid temperature can exacerbate itching.

One of the most excellent home remedies to relieve from itching is starch bath. To make starch bath, one needs – 1 tbsp starch (rice or potato starch), 2 to 3 tbsp cold water and ½ liter boiling water. Mix cold water and starch together. Pour this mixture in boiling water and stir. Boil until it gets thick. Starch bath is ready. Now it should be mixed in cold water so that it becomes suitable for bathing.
One should bathe in this mixture for at least 15 minutes.
Aloe vera is also a useful remedy for skin problems. Use aloe vera soap, lotion or cream for sustaining good skin health. One can also use Neem (Margosa) soap as a good substitute of aloe vera.
Mix 10 grams camphor in 200 gm coconut oil and put it in a glass jar or bottle. Close the jar tightly and place it in the sunlight until all camphor is dissolved in the coconut oil. Apply this mixture daily on the skin before going to bath. It will help in curing the problem of dry itching. Few drops of oil can be added in water, which is to be used for bathing.
Add some alum (commonly known as phitkari) in 2 to 3 tsp of lemon extract and apply it on the area affected by itching. Coconut oil assorted with lemon extract can also be used to relieve from itching.
Home remedies for itching do not end here. There are several other ingredients that can be used regularly to get rid of itchy skin. These are – nettle tea, moisturizers, peppermint bath, apple cider vinegar, Vicks vapor rub, paste of honey & cinnamon powder and many more.
